Import and Export Permit

Control of Goods Act Cap 18:08 give the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) the mandate to be issuing these permits.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture issues the permit to agricultural commodities such as Rice, Hides and Skins, etc.

The applicant writes to the Ministry of Agriculture where they collect a letter which is submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.  This letter is called the Letter of No Objection.

Once submitted, the Ministry of Industry and Trade prepares a memo to the Minister for his approval or rejection. Once approved, the applicant is informed of the decision. The process takes a maximum of seven (7) days.
